Our culture is a media driven culture, there's no question about that. Movies, television, music... We can't get away from it. And a good majority of it is borderline acceptable at best. So then the question becomes how can you make an enjoyable, entertaining product that has a message without losing the interest of the audience..? As a production team- we face this question with every new story we produce.
In a culture steeped in darkness, we have decided to shine a positive light. It's challenging to a degree...but also very worth it.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." (Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring) One of my favorite lines from those films. We all have a measure of time to do what's in our hearts and minds to do. No time like the present to do something that will leave a lasting impression and one that will bear light in a darkened world.
We did it!
We once more competed in and completed the 48 Hour Film Festival competion. On August, 8, 2014, our writing team traveled to Paducah to draw a genre and get instructions for the project. Our film team will worked all night Friday, Saturday and night to write, film, edit, and produce the short film in less than 48 hours. We appreciated your prayers as we endevaored to do our best at creating an excellent film. Dozens of River folks and friends will joined together for this fun, exhausting, but rewarding time.
In the books of Acts and Romans the Bible says that "...whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved." That means whatever you're needing, if you'll call on Him, He'll answer. Let your faith grow and hope rise within you as you watch these powerful testimonies of a real God encountering real people.
